Computer, eWaste, & Electronics Recycling in Houston, Texas
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Recycling facility R3eWaste aims to reduce landfill waste in Houston, Texas, by processing recyclables that are generally not accepted by most other companies. R3eWaste is a zero-landfill facility. That means every item we process is reused to the fullest extent possible. If it is no longer functional, recycled.
Our team helps streamline the recycling process by providing all-encompassing services for your business. That way, you have one consistent team working to create a customized corporate asset recycling strategy and help put said strategy into operation instead of contacting multiple vendors and waste removal companies. Our list of clients in Houston, Texas, encompasses businesses small and large, in various cities and townships, including government agencies. We also have recycling support services available for residents of Houston.
The r3e Waste Process
Our recycling process has been optimized to be as straightforward and transparent as possible.
Accepted Items
Businesses in Houston, Texas, that want to recycle items most companies won’t accept can work with R3eWaste to keep said items out of landfills. Our facility is equipped to process virtually every kind of electronic device, from large items like computers, monitors, and networking equipment, to smaller items like cell phones, batteries, audio/video equipment, UPS scanners, and credit card machines, among other things.
Residential Services
While we do not currently offer residential pickup services to Houston area residents, they are more than welcome to use our facilities by dropping off items at our location. We are open for drop-off services on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; however, we ask that you call ahead to confirm what kinds of electronic items you plan to bring, as some may require a small processing fee. You can find additional information regarding our facilities, recycling services, local recycling events, and more on our R3eWaste community page.
**NOTE We also charge $5.00 per desktop printer/fax machine.
The process first involves the collection of materials from your business. A team of fully insured and R2-trained professionals is dispatched to the site. This team handles it all, from lifting to pallet service. They also will perform any necessary wrapping. More sensitive items, such as data centers and server components, are disassembled with care to safeguard all data security. Once secured, all items are transported to our local facility in Houston. R3eWaste partners with a network of shippers across the nation to extend our collection services beyond our operation areas.
As the recyclables are received at the facility for weighing and inventory, each item is tracked by our Inventory Management System (IMS). This tracking continues until the moment that the materials reach their final destination. Our consistent tracking allows us to offer unique transparency among recycling companies in the Houston area.
We understand that often your electronic recyclables may contain sensitive material. That is why every data-bearing device we take is put through a four-step data deletion process to ensure your data security remains fully protected. This process exceeds the data destruction standards of the Department of Defense. We also can offer a serialized data-wipe certification – just ask us.
Taking advantage of our recycling services is a great way to reduce operating costs. As we process your recyclables, we calculate every end-of-life electronic device’s value and work with a large network of downstream partners to extract each item’s maximum use. All revenue is then split with you to ensure you receive the most out of your recyclables.
Nothing we collect is ever taken to a landfill. All items are tracked from the moment they enter our facility, after which they are processed and subsequently reused or recycled via our downstream partners.
