Residential Electronics Recycling in Olympia, WA
In most cases, we do not pick up electronics from residences. Residential customers can drop off their items at our collection sites on weekdays between 8 AM and 3 PM. We suggest calling first, as you may be expected to pay a small fee for specific items.
Collect Materials
We collect all materials from your business for no additional fee. We provide white-glove pallet and wrapping services if needed. Our trained specialists carefully disassemble sensitive components to keep data secure until it can be destroyed. We can decommission your assets and equipment for you, or you can perform this step yourself. After your materials are packed and secured, we deliver them directly to our facility via our nationwide shipping partners.
Sort and Track Materials
We sort, tag, and weigh your materials to create a detailed inventory of everything we collected. We use an industry-leading Inventory Management System (IMS) to track your items from the second they enter our facility until they reach their destination. We provide you with log-in information so you can access reports on all items that are eligible for resale and items that will be recycled.
Secure Data Destruction
We erase data storage devices, hard drives, and data-bearing equipment with a strict four-step process that adheres to Department of Defense standards. This includes performing a three-pass overwrite of all memory addresses, then performing a “checksum” to confirm they all read zero. We destroy your assets and provide certificates of destruction or recycling. We also provide serialized data-wipe certification if requested. Drives with highly sensitive data may be shredded or crushed. Any items that cannot be resold are recycled and sent to certified downstream partners so nothing ends up in a landfill.
Calculate and Share Revenue
We test, grade, repair, and refurbish reusable assets to sell to downstream partners across the globe. We determine the value of any reusable items and provide full transparency during every step. If you are a member of our free R3e Waste Partner Program, you can use your IMS log-in information to access a customized R3e Dashboard Web Portal. This logs and tracks every item so you can see which items were sold, who bought them, and for what amount. Operational costs typically comprise a third of revenue. We share 50% of the remaining revenue from any sales with you.
