April is TechTerra Month

This April the Arizona Technology Council is partnering with R3eWaste for the Council’s annual TechTerra recycling initiative.

“Technology is thefastest-growing waste stream on the planet and we want to be part of thesolution,” said Steven G. Zylstra, president and CEO, Arizona TechnologyCouncil. “For the entire month of April, Arizona companies can make adifference and responsibly recycle electronics, laptops, desktop PCs, harddrives, servers, flat screen monitors, cables, audio equipment, phones,batteries, copiers, networking equipment and more.”

 

For their part R3eWaste willbe providing FREE pickup from AZTC members for the entire month. In addition,R3eWaste will provide free Certificates of Destruction (CODs) and ensure thatall eWaste collected is responsibly recycled.

 

The Council will donate 5cents for every pound of material collected to the non-profit ArizonaTechnology Council Foundation (dba SciTech Institute) and donors will receivefrom the SciTech Institute receipts for corporate or personal tax purposes.

 

Awards will be given to thebiggest total donation from a major company (200 or more employees) and biggestsmall company contributor (under 200 employees)

 

“We take the safety of theenvironment and your data seriously,” said Neville Cole, Development Executive,R3eWaste. “You can be certain that your data is secure and that nothing youdonate will end up in a landfill.”
